             Pasta with genovese pesto

                    By:- Red_rose

Pesto is a sauce originary from the city of Genoa in

Liguria,  region of northern Italy (pesto alla genovese).

It can be used as sauce for pasta or meat, or can be

used as an ingredient in many dishes.

 Ingredients.
 4 oz (100g) fresh basil

approx. 8 oz (200g) extra virgin olive oil

1/3 cup  grated Pecorino Romano cheese

 1/4 cup pine nuts

 4 clovesgarlic

 Freshly ground salt  (to taste)

 Procedure.
Well procedure is easy. Just put all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle it till its a smooth cream. if you are too lazy to

pestle you can use even a food processor. Bon Apetit :)

This is how the sauce should look like
