THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST

Directed by: Mel Gibson

Screenplay by: Mel Gibson, Benedict Fitzgerald

Cast: James Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern, Hristo Jivkov,

 Francesco De Vito, Monica Bellucci

The Passion is a Mel Gibson movie. It talks about the 12 hours

before Jesus's dead,, The movie starts in Olives garden,

where Jesus has been arrested, then it describes the trial in

front of Pontio Pilatus, His flagellation, the dead on the cross,

till the Resurrection..Well in the past there has been many

movies about this same topic, but Mel Gibson's one is the

most famous i think, for 2 reasons: first of all cuz the actors

dont speak English, but they speak aramaic, the language

spoken in Palestine 2000 years ago, and second  cuz this

movie is very realistic and strong, indeed it describes carefully,

too much carefully i woudl say, all the Jesus flagellation

and  His dead on cross. Mostly scenes are full of blood, pain,

tears; its almost  impossible to resist to all this pain  and dont

shed a tear. Well..if you havent seen it yet, I can suggest  you

to watch this movie ..its very interesting and touching,,but

before u start watching it..dont forget tissues ..you will need

 them.

When I see movies, I don’t really stop and try to think about the deep meaning behind and raise too many questions. I just see them for what they are. But mostly I just see movies for entertainment and just to pass time.  So usually I don’t have great many opinions after watching movies besides the general viewpoints like “oh, that was a good movie” or “that movie sucks.” If the movie keeps me interested throughout, then I would probably end up liking it. But then, there are occasionally those movies that will make you think and have some unique impression on you.

Generally I like comedies, and thriller/suspense type films. Movies with big twists in them are always awesome. I love most Tarantino movies. Violence looks good on screen.  So I would say my favorite movie is Fight Club. But currently, my favorite movie is the one I saw just a few days ago by the name of Kick-Ass. It really does kick ass. It is very Tarantino in that it is very graphic about violence but comedic in its own way. Also the soundtrack music by various artists from the movie goes perfectly with the plot and add that extra spice.

There so many memorable lines in that movie just like in other Tarantino movies or even Fight Club. I watched Fight Club for the first time with some dorm mates a year ago. I remember, after the movie I seriously had the urge to punch the guy next to me in the face.  I loved the characters and the dialogue. The actors were great. I didn’t know who Edward Norton was before then but liked him as an actor since.

American History X and The Illusionist with Ed Norton were both good movies.  The Prestige and The Machinist, similar type movies as Fight Club, with twists were also great. As far as comedies, obviously anything that would make me laugh hysterically, I would love instantly, The Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year Old Virgin for example; but recently,  the movie Kick-Ass.
